Name: Darik Lugor Age: About 26 Sex: Male Profession: Occasional rune-maker Location: Mountains Affiliations: Goblins Disposition: Skilled at rune-making, lonely, wants to fit in
Character Background and Description
Darik Lugor is a goblin who was found in the tunnels 26 years ago. He has pointed ears and large eyes, and stands tall among the goblins at just over 4 feet. He has dark green skin and carries a runic sword and bow he enchanted himself. He prefers to wear tattered and torn clothing to match the rest of the goblins.
Like many of his kind, he loves more than anything the thrill of playing with magic. However, unlike a lot of other goblins, Darik’s runes often worked well. This gave him a reputation of hating fun among the other goblins, who preferred to use imperfect runes with entertaining side effects. The isolation they imposed on him made Darik lament his skill at rune-making; on the rare occasions he does make something magical, he intentionally disrupts the process to create a less stable rune.
Before the other goblins began to stay away from him, Darik used his talents to imbue an old rustic sword and a wooden bow he hand-carved with enchantments of his own making. Due to his skill, they came out quite nicely: his sword became indestructible and his bowstring pulls back and fires arrows on its own (though he has to supply the arrow). His runes were not able to restore the sword to its former glory, but he’s okay with that since its only purpose for him was to test his abilities.
